    speedball

i dont like playin woodsball at all. im am just a speedball player. i dont have a team so i guess i would have to join the big group.

so how often does the big group play speed/airball compared to woods.

    Re: speedball

it all depends on the size of the crowd--large crowds don't get on the airball fields--5 guys to a dorito is a little tough. There is supposed to be a rotation of fields but sometimes conditions prohibit certain fields.

I played all afternoon today and we never played woodsball at all.

    Re: speedball

I feel the same way. What if they broke the groups up into woodsball and speedball groups? If that doesn't work.. what about just dividing the groups two ways so that they're small enough to allow the speedball fields to be in the rotation?

    Re: speedball

Yep that would work for me. They would have to have more refs though. Stop and think about the refs on the field--they have enough to cover the field in play but to split the group and have refs for two games might be problematic.

    Re: speedball

We try and split the main group into two when it gets real crowded. Usually it works, and we try to keep it running as long as we can. The only problem is refs are also assigned and taken out of the main group for private groups to where we will not have enough refs and will have to join back into one group.

    Re: speedball

if we do end up being low on refs and not able to split up the group, we'll play a variety of games on the larger fields, such as a/d speedball versus just castle-to-castle many times. or rabbit versus a/d bochika field again and again.
